Great for seniors, recovering over-achievers, injured athletes and reforming couch potatoes. Class size limited to 10 students. Explore the therapeutic, healing benefits of yoga in this gently paced, integrated movement class. No experience necessary. Intro to YogaStudents with little or no experience will learn basic poses and vocabulary with confidence and care. Experience your breath and body in mind-expanding ways in a safe and friendly environment. Level I-Beginning students who want to build on the basics and assure a solid foundation for expanding their practice. Build stamina, increase flexibility and delve deeper into your heart. Level I-IIA Beginning to Intermediate level class, appropriate for students with at least 2 months regular practice. Gain strength and flexibility of body, equanimity of mind and compassion of heart by practicing standing poses, twists, forward bends, backbends, balancings, Develop concentration and awareness through pranayama and meditation. Level II-IIIAn Intermediate level class to take your practice to the next level. Practice at a moderate to vigorous pace and learn advanced poses. Increase your subtle body awareness. Cultivate steadiness and ease. Experience and learn biomechanical principles and energy anatomy. Six months regular class experience or private practice recommended. All LevelsThis well-rounded, full spectrum class welcomes anyone with no acute injuries and basic familiarity with a variety of yoga poses. Always open for drop-ins and regular class make-ups. Pre-Natal YogaThis supportive and fun class can help relieve the common aches and pains of pregnancy, especially in the low back and pelvis. You will strengthen and stretch your hips, thighs, and shoulders, and learn breathing techniques to move with greater grace and ease through pregnancy, labor, and into motherhood. You’ll enjoy the company of your peers and the deepening of your yoga practice. Moms & Babes Postpartum This nurturing (and stretching!) class addresses yoga poses to women who have recently given birth and/or are nursing. Moms bring their babies up to about 1 year or until the baby starts to walk. You’ll find the class good for you, good for baby and good for the community. |
