Stress takes a sophisticated approach to disease. It infiltrates our central nervous system, and can instigate a riot of contemporary maladies, embodied in physical, mental and emotional tension. Stress is clinically associated with lowered immunity, insomnia, elevated cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, anxiety and impatience. Modern nervous systems are ramped up by day-to-day worries, disappointments and responsibilities. Stress interferes with our bodies’ innate restorative functions. The antidote to stress is relaxation.

For more than 16 years I have dedicated my work to a principle of yoga — the integration of body, mind and heart. I try to help people find their way home to physical, mental and emotional health. I bow with gratitude to all my teachers, healers, students and clients whose grace has brought me here to the seat of a teacher and healer. Wendy Lippmann, LMP, giving a massageI use techniques in massage & bodywork gained from a dozen years in private practice and a boundless awe of the amazing human system. I apply manual therapies ranging from trigger point massage to subtle energy manipulation, appropriate to your needs and interests. Our sessions may integrate techniques to relieve general muscle tension, address any new strains or old pains, and subtly provoke your body’s
natural healing instincts.

 

Yoga Therapy on the Mat

I apply these Principles therapeutically to assess and treat injuries, postural strain, imbalances in strength and flexibility, and chronic pain. Yoga’s ancient and time-tested formulas for healthy living can help us manage contemporary, stress-related discomforts and ailments. If you want individual coaching in yoga postures, private lessons can help you develop, transform and maintain a personal practice.

Fees

    $70 (Introductory session: First time only)

    $80/one hour

    $90/ 1.25 hour

    $110/1.5 hour
